Mods are what make the game. The Sims 2 with mods does everything I want from a Sims game. I tried getting into Sims 3, but having ads in game immediately put me off.
Lazy Duchess Story Progression gives me the only features from Sims 3 I’d care for, BodyShop is EZ and reskinning something takes maybe an hour of YouTube videos to learn.
And my 10+ gig Downloads folder loads like a dream on an SSD.
