Apparently they are specific to the instance your own account is on, or from, as per thatalt’s explanation that lemmynsfw doesn’t do a global, federated downvote tally.
I see one.
So 1 .zip user apparently dislikes, 26 .world users dislike.
… I did not expect a nsfw post to be an opportunity to learn about the technical innards of lemmy… I guess it remains to be see if we will at any point gain a glimpse into Katelyn’s innards =P
Lemmynsfw doesn’t allow downvotes, so they aren’t federated. Locally they still exist, but only on the user’s instance.
To each their own… I am an attention whore and nothing should be wrong with that
