This is definitely something that concerns me… I know my instance isn’t big and will take a while to really gain traction, but having instances with delays that far back is crazy to me.
I know there have been many issues raised with LemmyNet devs about changing the architecture, but that would need to be a fundamental change to ActivityPub directly.
A better synchronization mechanism has been implemented in the current versions of Lemmy, but Lemmy.world still has to update.
