Just installed the game and played a couple rounds. Gotta say, its gameplay loop is better than expected, but I find the lack of information in the menus very disappointing!
- Like, looking at the weapons/skills of a suit before deploying in a wargame?
- Maybe some stats, like damage, reload speed, blast radius to gauze the effectiveness of the modules?
- There’s also next to no information on the Dino types. Supposedly it’s possible to break the horns of a Triceratops, but wouldn’t it be great if you had a database entry of it where you could see it’s stats or at least how you’re able to break it? I’ve been aiming for the head/horns, but I feel like I just waste my damage (since it deals very reduced dmg there)
But I don’t want to sound too negative side I still have fun playing it. I didn’t really follow the ads on this one, but I was impressed with the amount of suits you can play right at the beginning. I only tried the ones in the tutorial and the Barrage (grenadier) and so far all of them seem fun. :)
What are your thoughts? And do you have any tips and tricks? :D
Some of that info is generally community sourced for these kinda games. Like the really detailed stats about weapons/skills and dinos. But hard agree that even basic info on movesets needs to be available while on the ship. I can’t say how many times I’ve had to go look up online what a particular move actually does to remind me when choosing mods.
I’d also like to see player awarded commendations added in as well as an indicator on the MCP screen on which player was on which team. I do t care about randos but seeing how well my team did would be great. There’s also a lack of performance stats post round as well. Like I didn’t get most damage blocked award so I can’t see how much damage I actually blocked to gauge my performance.
Yeah, same. What I do have to point out, the training field (shooting range?) is pretty good to test all the suits, rigs and different game mechanics.
You can access all build able objects, get all dominators (so you can practice them to, if you want to) and even the hammer. It’s really better than expected.
That doesn’t mitigate the general lack of info, stats or even a match history. The player commendations also sound really good, as I sometimes want to cheer a supp or tank up when they did a great job but didn’t get the medals to pop up in the MVP screens :)
