What is something you could never get tired of eating? That one dish, meal, or snack that no matter the day, you know if you had just a piece that time would stand still while you enjoyed that food for just one moment?

Care to share the recipe if it’s homemade?

Mine is bacon wrapped water chestnuts.

Take sliced bacon and wrap around whole, individual water chestnuts. Secure together with a toothpick. Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil and place the wrapped water chestnuts on the foil. Once you’ve made enough, cover with a unhealthy sprinkle of brown sugar and soy sauce. The “sprinkle” should be enough so some sugar and soy sauce have powdered each wrapped snack.

Broil until bacon is cooked. Watch for fire while using broil. Let them cool until warm and enjoy!

I’m going to go with something perhaps a little weird. Udon noodles, soy sauce as well, some veggies. I probably have it 2-3 times a week. The salty flavor really makes me brain light up. And maybe even stranger, durian. Very weird fruit. You have to make yourself eat it until you can real find the extremely unique, sweet flavors.

Your favourite sometimes nudges my main one out of the picture! Adore the texture and flavour and scent of udon. Usually have mine with soy sauce and grated vegetable ribbons, sometimes a dash of sesame seed oil, sometimes an egg poached in the heat of the noodles.

+1 about the noodles, I can toss in some frozen veggies and spice it up choosing whatever sauce I’d like. Dinner is ready super fast! Added chilli garlic sauce last time, delicious.

I absolutely love Udon. Hard to find udon noodles here where I live… I can make them but it’s a lot of effort. If it wasn’t so much effort I’d probably have it 2-3 times a week as well.

Frozen is what I usually have. For beginners I always recommend frozen durian first, it stays solid and has an almost ice cream like quality to it’s texture.
