Lots of cool stuff here. I am kind of excited at the potential of Baraka being a more sympathetic character. He looks great too. MK11’s version was also great and this is a nice build from there.
I have mixed feelings about Li Mei and Tanya. I think some of what made Li Mei interesting was she was kind of this niave village girl who rose to fight when her village was oppressed; I wonder if they will be able to make her similarly interesting considering she was a warrior from infancy and is in a position of power this time. I also wish they gave her a little more interesting design; maybe thag purple bandana she had in MK Deception, just to make the costume a little more unique.
Tanya also feels like a very different character than the cunning and playful traitor of past games. I also feel like they were leaning towards an Egyptian-inspjred character design before. But MK1 it seems like they just went full noble royal guard with her, and while there is nothing wrong with that character archetype, it just makes her feel like a totally different character. Besides wearing yellow, I don’t think he seems very much like Tanya.
Both of them have interesting looking gameplay though. I especially liked Li Mei’s fatality, turning you into a human firework. LoL
Baraka looks awesome.
