Technically a verbal compliment is faker than an upvote (a visual sign of approval) because at least the visual approval hasn’t fizzled out of existence after being used. So since a compliment and an upvote are sort of similar, shouldn’t we treat an upvote somewhat similarly to how we treat compliments?
