I usually use my 7800 IGP (and it works there in mpv), but if I change the device to the nvidia GPU (a 3xxx series) it just doesn’t play, or it crashes, depending on the hardware decoder.
I never normally use the nvidia GPU for anything but compute though, not even display out.
