This fluffy dragon bird bb is mostly known for is nocturnal and superior night vision due to a layer of tissue at the back of its eye called a tapetum lucidum, which reflects visible light back through its retina.

- Nightjars in general have some dark folklore told about them because of their big black eyes and piercing call. In Indonesia, there’s a satanic nightjar(!) that has a call that sounds like "sound of plucking out someone’s eyes.1
