    It’s basically suspend now since they don’t follow it and there’s no one giving it consequences

      That’s not true. These imprisonments have been contested in court and people have been released as a consequence. There have been at least two high-profile examples of this for protestors against Israel’s genocide in the past couple of days.

      If they suspend habeas corpus, that’s it. The government can imprison you on a whim, for life, and you’ll have no right or opportunity to challenge it in court.

        I think they still want to send them to gitmo to get around it. They are just issuing Ecuadorian prison to buy time to get up and running. We are in danger.
