For the last week it’s been Cold Cave for me. Specifically several tracks off “Cherish the Light Years”. So many of the tracks are sonically bright and cheery but still dark and vast at the same time. I find myself going back to it regularly.
Been revisiting Institute lately, for anyone unfamiliar I think the Salt EP is fairly representative and focused enough to tell if you’d be into it in a short amount of time.

Nice. Hadn’t necessarily heard of them. But I was definitely feeling the third track on that EP. The whole EP had definite sub punk feeling. Raw, minimal production, but with energy still churning underneath. Will have to give the rest of their work a look.
