Reminds me of a video I saw once, these sovereign citizen types had been hostile towards cops, city officials, etc near their compound. Then the compound caught on fire and they were demanding aid from the fire department. The firefighters wouldn’t go in because of previous threats by the sovereign citizens. I find it hilarious that they don’t wanna pay taxes and be a part of society, but when they need a rescue they call the services provided by taxes lol

To be fair though, they probably do pay taxes and by the fireman not putting out the fire, the taxes that the people paid are not used for the service they needed.

          I’ve definitely read stories where:

          • A person doesn’t pay into the optional fire brigade fund
          • Their house catches on fire
          • The firefighters do nothing
          • The fire now threatens a neighbor’s house who DID pay
          • The firefighters spring into action!

Yeah but “I pay taxes” doesn’t really cancel out “I threatened these pubic services”.

Let the courts decide. The fire can wait while we utilize our efficient, speedy justice system.

Where can one get some of these pubic services?
