    The rebrand is dumb but anyone who believes you’ve unlearned years of muscle memory in 48 hours because an X got added to the page is also dumb

        It’s not an ad, it’s a browser window. You know where the close button is unless you started using [whatever OS won’t offend you] yesterday

          Many linux desktops and all Macs have the close button on the top left side of the window. So yeah, muscle memory on those system is to move to the top left corner.

            My bad, I forgot that macOS puts scaled up window control buttons inside the webpage

            Many advertisements on mobile devices have the X in any random corner, so what’s ya point. I see an X, naturally my first thought is this must be the close button.

            If that’s a problem for you, do you also fall for the fake virus alert scams? It’s very easy to tell them apart. Plus, muscle memory doesn’t apply here since you can just swing your mouse to the top left of the screen and click. No vision is even needed. That’s what muscle memory is.
