The team stated fairly recently that it was “going to happen” at some point. I’m inclined to agree that they sort of let it happen this week, since the win wasn’t anywhere close.
My prediction was for Russell and Verstappen to take each other out T1 then Piastri to cruise to P1 and Norris to drop it in the wall out of desperation, so I feel half right.

McLaren has the fastest car, and between Piastri and Norris, Piastri is the more consistent driver. He’s really got it dialed in this season, and I think he’ll win the WDC.
