you can tell if they set a display name by if there’s an @ in the front. if it’s not there, that’s their display name. you can see their username + instance by clicking on their name
i still see your username, so the change hasn’t federated to my instance yet. but when it does, you will show up as whatever you set your display name to
It reall is pretty good, I hope a lot more people can find their way to it. I’m a lurker most of the time, but I want to start engaging more, because I think the Devs have done a good job here.
Lemmy is a wonderful tool. All we need to do is add rewards, coins, video reels, promoted posts, and then a sort of celebrity/influencer culture will naturally flourish!
Yeah, I agree. I’m loving lemmy and haven’t spent more than 10-15 min. on Reddit over the past week.
