It's no secret that Austin and San Antonio are becoming some of the biggest cities in Texas, which one day might rival the likes of Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston. KLRN, San Antonio's local PBS station, examines the approximately 80-mile region between both Central Texas cities in the new documentary, San Antonio-Austin: The Emerging Mega-Metro.
So it’s time to start picking names, right?
Austonio? San Austin? ASA?
Or are we just going to embrace Mega Braunfels?
We are naming the region “Tacos”
I like Mega Braunfels. Makes me think of a Mega Bratwurst
Austin was another name for Augustine (as in missionary to the English), so San Austin works theologically.
I much prefer Augustine of Hippo, the patron saint of brewers.
