Can happen again, yes. But hasn’t happened yet, and is nowhere close. The camps in the US aren’t death camps. They don’t have infrastructure built specifically for the extermination of people. And calling them death camps now, or comparing them is plain wrong and completely ignores the horror of the Holocaust.
People are already being abducted off the street with no due process and taken to undisclosed locations. People have already died. Fuck off with the “it’s not that bad yet” bullshit we’ve been hearing since Trump’s first term as things have gotten progressively worse and worse. This is how things ended up that bad before. ICE was just given more funding than Russia’s entire army. The best way to respect the horrors of the Holocaust is to take it seriously when events are clearly heading there again.
Buddy, the “it is not that bad yet” is in relation to you comparing it to a death camp where a million people died. Objectively it isn’t as bad and comparing the two just cheapens the horror that was the german death camps. You can criticize what is happening without overblown comparisons. Like you wouldn’t say that operation Desert Storm was “just like World War 2”.
