This is how we grow and empower each other, don’t be afraid to speak up, ask questions. Your posts and comments make a difference. We can all learn from each other. I think recycling can bring us together to create a better future.

500ml water per question to ChatGPT. Images use more. That is not free.

“Spreading awareness of recycling” by using Ai that is an environmental disaster….

Just stealing a picture from an artist would destroy the environment less.

Stop using Ai if you care about the environment!

How much water does it take for a human to do that art work for me? How much water did it take you to reply to my comment?

It is okay to not know that AI uses significant amounts of water - I don’t think a reasonable person would be angry if you just held up your hands and said you weren’t aware.

No I know, but people still eat beef and I’ve told them to stop and they didn’t care. So when people tell me to stop using AI I don’t care, because at least I’m spreading awareness rather than simply doing something that benefits myself.

I’m not quite sure I follow the logic here. It’s definitely frustrating when you point out the various ways the meat industry is harmful to the planet and people don’t care and continue to eat beef… But I’m not sure I see the connection between that and you choosing to use a technology that uses significant amounts of water when there are alternatives that use less.

Your words are what you’re really using to spread awareness here, the AI image is not as effective as the things you can say and honestly is more likely to drive people away than bring them in, because it sort of undermines your foundations.

And am I replying positively to interact with the idea of the post, or am I talking to you deep into a thread with other people arguing exclusively about the image?

So you’ll continue to guzzle water and destroy the environment? What is your goal?

DuckDuckGo offers Ai free image search.

Any of these images didn’t exploit the planet to generate slop.

Making excuses for yourself destroying the environment some more eh 😂

Now that you are aware of the environmental disaster Ai is. You should act better. You know like the thing you are trying to achieve here.

You should make better choices and stop using Ai slop that goes directly against your apparent goal of being pro environment and raising awareness of recycling.

Your entire argument is weak because the alternative consumes water as well.

Gonna ask this because you might actually not know but the water usage is just one aspect of environmental destruction that this Ai slop is causing.

Like that’s one metric that people can visualize and not the only cost… or do you genuinely believe that’s the only problem?

People can’t visualize electricity usage or fathom the destruction Ai data centres are having.

                https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2025/07/permit-for-xais-data-center-blatantly-violates-clean-air-act-naacp-says/

You also understand that this is in a now unmanageable scale now? 2.5 billion daily questions that use vastly more resources than a simple web search…

You understand how using this Ai crap goes directly against your entire goal here?

You blame AI rather than the way we produce electricity, which is funny.

I’m not playing games with you changing the goal posts.

Energy production and energy consumption are two different issues. You are using wasteful Ai slop on top of powering it with unsustainably produced power. It goes against everything you are trying to achieve with recycling.

Go outside, touch grass, gather some real leaves and make a recycling icon instead of polluting the environment generating fake plants.
