American police literally break into African Americans homes to kill them. The French (correctly) rioted when Nahel Merzouk was killed by police. Here, it’s just a way of life we’re so numb to police killing in the name of race. Kids of color have to have an uncomfortable talk with their parents not to make any sudden moves when a cop is around.
There are more racist nations than the US, but France isn’t in our racism and racial violence weight class. Swaths of people in our southern states still proudly display slavery enthusiast flags.
