Rotate the dragon 360 degrees IRL and you will see why this isn’t possible. Edit: even if you made the sides at a perfect opaqueness, there is no way it would look like this IRL.

It’s half a cube (well, the outer walls of one), it’s just rotating the opposite way you first think it is. Not impossible at all, just a fun few moments of confusion until you catch on.
