I am not sure how I feel about the child mind synths, it feels silly at times but breaks up the serious/horror sections of the show.

I can relate to your statement. It did seem silly at first, but the more I’ve thought about it, the more fascinating the storytelling, character conflicts, questions of morality, and possibilities for deception can come about. Our latest example of deception was between Morrow and Slightly, when Morrow started talking to him via that communication thing he applied to him when he grabbed him by his throat. This is leading up to a personal conflict that Slightly will have to deal with. Telling someone that he’s been talking to Morrow, or keep it a secret. Either way, it’s going to be an interesting character conflict to see play out IMO. Being just ‘kids’ really makes the synths more interesting to me. I don’t recall hearing or experiencing anything in sci-fi like this. So it’s been intriguing just on that merit.
