They could also use this to erase some inconsistencies between the Netflix series like Daredevil, the ABC series like Agents of SHIELD and the mainline MCU. I also wonder if the “timestepping” is inspired by or even related to the glitching in Into/Across the Spiderverse, it looks remarkably similar.

In Across the Spiderverse, when the multiverse is explained, the first visualisation also looked very much like the sacred timeline branching out in Loki season 1.
