I have used Mint for like the last five years in south NJ and love them. Yes, they are lower priority, so if you go to very dense and busy locations often (think malls and stadiums) you maybe have issues.

Mint offers ways to get a free trial though between the Mint App and Mint website. Definitely take the trial before buying a plan — even though they have a refund policy, it’s only 7 days, and they aren’t the greatest at honoring it. Get a free trial SIM and give it a whirl on the places you go first, before making the leap.

And finally, never ever buy a phone from Mint.
