Controversial conservative nonprofit PragerU sparks debate as it becomes the first state-approved educational vendor in Florida, raising concerns about its impact on students' education.
Not sure about that. Our country doesn’t do communism, thank goodness, so there is little relevancy in spending time on teaching it. Wouldn’t the students be better served to learn about how our economic system works so they can take advantage of its positives and better manage the negatives? Either way, there is no need to for a deep dive into economic systems. That’s for further study or post K-12 learning. Kids should be taught how to manage money, balance a checkbook, use credit wisely and things that will actually help them in Their day to day lives.
Sure, all economic systems can be touched on in like a social studies class or something like that. But ultimately, there is no benefit to going overboard on such a topic, IMO. Most of the class time should be spent on the system we use. Sort of like we teach English first and foremost because that’s what we speak here. If one wishes to pursue other languages or enter a career in translating then by all means, do what ya gotta do but that’s outside the scope of basic K-12 learning.

Hate to break it to you, fascist - but if kids in the US were to be taught how the US’s economy actually works, they’d all be really angry communists and socialists before the month is out. That is, unless you think kids are as lethally delusional as you are.
Are you OK? Whats wrong? You need to get some help for yourself. Things are clearly not going right for you. Please Google what fascist means and stop using it incorrectly. Bounce back when you get your life sorted out. Delusional? Yeah - Get educated or learn a valuable skill + get decent paying job and live well = be happy. You got a better idea?
They are custom sewn for me by immigrant slaves. Didn’t you know that? Wow, another deep thinker on Lemmy. This is where some of the Reddit nut jobs escaped to, eh?

I’ve always wondered… do they tailor your Klan robes, or are they just one-size fits all?

Methinks the person who hasn’t read Ur Fascism here is probably you.
