We own an Ioniq 5 and we have the issue. Public fast chargers work fine, we’re on our second level 2 charger and it charges when it wants for however long it wants and no more…
That seems like the opposite of what you’d expect. The article indicates the charging port can overheat at as low as 28 amps and stop charging. They put out a software update that lowers charging to 23 amps to prevent overheating.
They did, we haven’t gotten the update yet but we’re scheduled to take it in. The lower speed will work for our driving habits but it’s half the speed we’d expect. It’s total crap!
