Picked up Jerboa when I made the switch to Lemmy. Now I won’t be returning to Sync. No way in hell I’m paying a subscription.
As a Jerboa user who just started using Sync, I can honestly say it’s really fucking slick. Like really slick.
I’m sure it is, but until the live version has single payment, I won’t consider the switch. Even then, I don’t use Lemmy half as much as I used Reddit, so I won’t pay the same amount I paid for Reddit.
They already added the one-time payment to remove ads
I am looking forward to the lifetime payment, yeah. Is Sync made by a single dev? I don’t know anything about this app aside from everyone clamoring for the team to make a Lemmy-compatible version.
I also find myself using Lemmy less than Reddit but I’m hoping as we discover and tailor our feeds with more fitting communities then it’ll naturally become a healthy replacement. It took me like 10 years to curate my reddit algorithm.

Well it’s pretty damn cool for a single dev then, I’m impressed. I like the idea of giving money to a talented dev and not to reddit, too, so that feels nice.

It does have single payment. You can pay once to remove the ads. The subscription is for a bunch of bonus features.
He’s said there’s plans for a lifetime option in the future. So just be the same as having Sync Pro.
Sync already feels far more polished than jerboa or connect in my opinion.
Jerboa is useless crap in comparison. Also Sync is free if you’re on with ads.

Jerboa strings are piss poor quality.
Jerboa is also open source, meaning anyone can help improve it.
For me sadly Jerboa stability has gotten worse since the contributions 🥲
There’s been lots of nice new features introduced, however one persistent bug where the UI doesn’t know what I’m tapping occurs after a couple mins of use, and only an app restart fixes it.
I want to like the other apps, but so far I like my broken Jerboa more

Felt the the same, but now with the one time pay to remove ads I am back using Sync
Try Connect for lemmy or voyager. imho both opretty good, better than jeroba
Connect is way better than Jerboa.
