Are there any robot vacuums/mops that respect privacy; that don’t map your house and phone home with the information?

    Many of them can only be controlled from a smartphone app that requires both the phone and the robot to access the cloud. ☹️

      Yikes. I hadn’t realized. I had a great neato robot that was totally offline. The new version wants to be controlled through your phone. F that.

        the apps do provide significant benefits… it’s not just “because data”

          It’s just frustrating that companies make these nice and helpful apps, and then they pretty much always try to invade your privacy if you use them.
