It was more about timing than anything. From what I’ve heard Stalin was uh “logical” and “knew” Hitler wouldn’t start a two front war, so laughed out the reports. “Hitler would never be so stupid to start a two front war”. Hitler though was an ideological nutcase, hopped up on winning over France, and thought Britain was all but out anyway.
