I went through this early on with Jerboa. I found clearing my app cache early on fixed it again after a specific update broke my ability to stay logged in.
As a layman I’ve read once a app gets updated the data in cache for the last version isn’t really suitable so it become unused and more data is added to the cache. Sometimes this can be a issue. There are apps that can help clear caches after major updates to Android. It helped clean my phone up overall too.
jerboa and connect don’t let me log in properly, so sync is my best option
