I went to school just before cell phones became normal. Why is a ban of them on school premises stupid? We were fine without them.
Parents like to be able to contact their kids whenever they want (and via versa).
Because today’s society demands for people to be connected from basic payments for food in cafeteria being managed through a smartphone to parents keeping tabs on their kids or being able to reach them to do basic scheduling like pickup from school.
You can’t cut out one party from multi-party system reliant on the same technology to operate.
School exists to teach kids how to function in.society. cell phones have become a huge part of everyday life and they should be training them how to integrate them into their lives in a healthy way.
You mean like learning you don’t need one by your side 24/7? I think such a ban would provide more benefit than the alternative you suggest.
Plus, it’s not like not having your own personal device means they can’t teach you healthy habits or how to use them.
