minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink9•1 year agoYouTube TV used to be $50/mo until June 2020, so I presume that this is an old meme.
minus-square@SuperIcelinkEnglish11•1 year agoNo it’s not. It’s going up by $2 to $13.99/mo. Considering how much time I spend on YouTube, I feel like it’s worth it.
minus-square@WoodyboyelinkEnglish-1•1 year ago Unless you know a way to decouple youtube from youtube music, im not wrong. I would happily pay that price for it too.
minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink8•1 year agoThat’s because you’re looking at it in the iOS app, so they add ~30% to make up for Apple’s cut of in app purchases. If you buy it directly through the YouTube website, it will be cheaper

minus-square@squidzorzlink6•edit-21 year agoI think I’ve seen news rumors that they’re testing an ad-free YouTube-only plan that doesn’t include YouTube Music. (edit: https://www.theverge.com/2021/8/2/22605455/youtube-premium-lite-pilot-benelux-nordics-experiment-ad-free-subscription) But the reason you’re seeing $18.99/mo is because of the Apple tax. Go to https://www.youtube.com/premium to see the actual price.

I don’t. I consider it a series of tubes.
A cable is a tube but for electrons
Technically it’s more like a Highway. The majority of the electrons are traveling on the outside
A highway is a tube but for cars
A car is a tube but for people
The tube people will destroy us all.
Except if you use optical fibre, in that case it’s photons
Hold up, it’s not a big truck?
Woah, what year is it?
2006 baby
Ted, is that you?
YoutubeTV is $73 per month. What is $50?
YouTube TV used to be $50/mo until June 2020, so I presume that this is an old meme.
Sadly, its going up to like $19 a month :(
