    Not only is VS Codium not an IDE but neither is the VS Code editor itself. That’s the difference between “Visual Studio” and “Visual Studio Code”.

      I’d love to hear more about why you make this distinction. From what I could find looking at the difference between an “IDE” and an “editor” is whether certain features are built in by default.

      This just sounds so nit picky.

      By this measure it sounds like many applications that people use for code development daily would also not be considered “IDEs”. Despite handling many of the same functionalities.
