Well yes, catastrophies will always happen regardless of how many implemented safe guards exist, the difference is the frequency. Regulations save lives.
I’m not doubting they do but there has got to be a line where things become overly and unnecessarily regulated.
I just made a new post about Joel’s Workshop describing his M1 carbine being banned due to it taking boxed/detachable magazines, where the anti-gun lobby is claiming they’re “high capacity magazines” even though the 15 round mags are pinned to 5 due to our current regulations.

I’ve know people to remove the pins, also there was that .450 beowolf mag that would fit in an ar15 but could take a smaller capacity, IIRC 10 5.56, skirting the laws
