The rumor mill had Matt Smith as Brainiac, which I think would have worked well, but I do like “unknown” actors in big roles, and I expect Brainiac will be around for a while. Hopefully Matt Smith can find a different superhero role for his superhero film debut, it’s Smithin’ Time.
