Sharing has never meant equal square metres. It means coexisting without unnecessarily obstructing others when alternatives exist.
No one said six cyclists “have to yield”. No one said they need to vanish. And no one said cars deserve priority. You keep inventing those claims because they’re easier to argue than what’s actually being discussed.
Sometimes sharing does mean briefly adjusting speed or position so traffic can flow. Cars do it for each other constantly. That doesn’t magically become oppression when the other road user is on a bike.
@Rambomst@MrSmith Have you ever ridden a bicycle in a large group? The first time I did I was pretty surprised by how challenging it is. It’s especially difficult to maintain safe distances within a tightly packed peloton if there’s a mix of more and less experienced riders. Changing the shape of the pack is a lot less easy and safe than it might look like to someone who hasn’t ridden a bike in a group like that.

How is it that you sitting comfortably alone in your shitbox, that hogs 6x as much space, shits out toxic fumes, are less “entitled” than a large group of cyclists?
They are doing their thing, obviously in some sort of official (or otherwise) event. They do not need, or have to to let a fatso in a steel cage go by.
I’m okay with drivers asking to go past, as a driver (and a cyclist) I often do myself by flashing lights once. If they do not move over I resume being in traffic as I’m not entitled to shit and I’m sharing the road with others.
