For some odd reason I only discovered this rather ominous song recently, and was mighty impressed by its’ timely message. Altho it was released all the way back in 1990, I find that it could not be more relevant to today’s world, in which unchecked capitalism is throttling millions of people (or billions, really) around the world, while the rich and the oligarchs only get richer and more immune to consequences.

    I believe his father was from Cyprus and his mother from England. So not Greek-British although his name is Greek because they speak Greek in Cyprus

      His father, Kyriacos “Jack” Panayiotou,[11] was a Greek Cypriot restaurateur who emigrated from Patriki, Cyprus, to England in the 1950s. --WP

      So his dad was indeed Greek, and a member of that ethnic group who lived in Cyprus. I’ve updated the title.
