Welcome to the 24 hour pledge! I’m pledging myself to not drinking today, and invite you to do the same. Maybe you’re new to c/stop drinking and have a hard time deciding what to do next. Maybe you’re like me and feel you need a daily commitment or maybe you’ve been sober for a long time and want to inspire others.
It doesn’t matter if you’re still hung over from a three day bender or been sober for years, if you just woke up or have already completed a sober day. For the next 24 hours, let’s not drink alcohol!


A couple friends and I are all doing dry January and after partying a bit too much last night I’m kind of looking forward to it. Probably going to move the drinks in the fridge out to the garage though to lower ease of temptation.
Good idea. May I suggest that you replace them with interesting non-alcoholic drinks? In my early days, I found my biggest temptation was “there’s nothing to drink and water is boring,” so I made sure I always had something interesting in.
That’s a good idea, I’ve already had two of my wife’s bubbly waters today which is two more than I normally have, and I bet it’s because of exactly that.
Tapo Chico is CRAZY carbonated!! I’ve been trying them lately myself. :)
