I recently got into the whole “host it yourself” when it comes to streaming media, such as movies or tv shows. I started with jellyfin, but it turned out it didn’t have the support for the tv I have, so I had to boot up plex, and had 0 issues. I was wondering why is plex so much frowned upon?
Personally I don’t like Plex because it is not FOSS.
Additionally, I read recently that they have added a requirements to use their service even if you are self hosting everything.
Jellyfin is such a wonderful gift. I’m so glad there is such a good alternative to plex
