The devs are expecting over 1 million players on launch, which is absolutely massive for an early access title released outside of Steam. You can download the launcher now by going to https://hytale.com/download to be prepared!
Well it’s just Early Access right now so things should get better once the full game is available.
The payment processor has nothing to do with Early Access.
They can always change how payment works if they really wanted too.
