“News reports simply don't do justice to the level of chaos and disruption and trauma the federal government is raining down upon our communities,” Walz said.
Quite a few? Most? Not at all. He hasn’t even tried “most” or even more than a few.
Louisiana, the kind of state you characterize correctly, is NOT every red state. And even then there are a handful of red states with independent-leaning governors like Mike DeWine of Ohio and Andy Beshear of Kentucky who cannot at all be counted on to toe the MAGA line, much less if he federalizes their National Guard.
You’re insistent on ceding territory he hasn’t even touched and is not even remotely guaranteed to win in a fed vs. state battle. To what end?
I want to know why you’re so eager to characterize “quite a few/most” states as capitulating to the regime when that is the opposite of both fact and reasonable expectation.
When people misstate and/or try to obscure fact it’s generally in support of a cause. What’s yours?
Answer or don’t, I don’t care about changing your mind. I just want to know why you’d call states a lost cause when they’re anything but. It’s the fed that’s a lost cause these days, lol.
I want people to realize it’s bleaker than “it’ll probably be fine if I just whine about it on the internet like I did when people said Bush was a fascist.”
Trump will just declare them immune from prosecution or pardon them all.
He can’t pardon them for state crimes, only federal.
He also can’t do a lot of the things he’s already done.
That is true on the federal level. State is a completely different matter. He only succeeds at the state level when state government is complicit.
Which is quite a few of them. Depending on how you measure it: most.

I’m not ceding anything. Why are you trying to start a fight?
