    This makes it sound like he thinks he has a choice.

      I mean, there are a lot of deflections he could have used, like “I would have to consider executive privilege” or something.

      It’s the tone more than the sentiment.

        Executive privilege is off the table. He already litigated that and lost. He will be subpoenaed and he will testify.
