    I don’t know shit about networking (I failed you, lemmy) but I wonder if you can install a vpn to your router now. I heard they are are often using linux inside?

      I don’t know anything about any of these other than I would watch a lot more youtube if it had no ads. I’m gonna need a ublock for dummies manual.

      Check out GL.iNet routers, they have this baked in the UI.

      Literally every single normal fucking router has some sort of VPN client burned in from the factory by now (mine has a fucking server, even), and even if not it probably either has an OpenWRT port or is a worthless ISP piece of shit you are expected to use with another router alongside anyway. It’s not 2012 when you (probably) had to follow a buildroot tutorial on YouTube by some Indian guy with Cygwin.
