Not at all, but I do like to improve the graphics, add minor expansions, combine New Vegas (the in-game city) into a more coherent whole, and add UI/UX improvements and a whole lot more.
Perhaps things are easier these days, but it took a lot of time to make everything work well the last time I replayed New Vegas.
Would definitely highly recommend Viva New Vegas as recommended above! There’s an easy mod list that just gets things working, and an expanded list that adds niceties and features.
I’d also recommend Simple Open Strip and Simple Open Freeside, though be aware that quest mods that put NPCs in those locations are very likely to break

Yeah, I know. It took me 2 days to get a working set of mods that didn’t break the game last time I tried it. 2 hours is crazy fast.
