On it’s way to a 100km parking orbit to await the lander craft to join it later.
It’ll be carrying 3 Kerbals, a science lab and an array of science experiments to conduct along the way.
Next stop: Duna!

Duna 1 parked in an 80km equatorial orbit around it’s namesake.
Landing craft away. Touchdown zone in sight!
'Chutes deployed! Almost there!
Just look at that brown scenery and brown rocks. Oh lets not forget the brown sky!
At least Blll is feeling patriotic.
Ship looks pretty fly man, especially like the engine and panel arrangements! :)
Have yet to use chutes for Duna, didn’t know what the thickness of the air was there to guage it!
Thanks man! But I took a lot of inspiration from Mike Aben for this one!
I cut a little close to my solar generation/battery budget with this one. The batteries only just cover a full lab of data transfer, and the panels take a good half a day to fully charge the batteries along side running the lab constantly. But it did it’s job!
A rule of thum for 'chutes on Duna is: 1 radial per ton. Courtesy of Mike Aben once again! This lander was about 8.5 tons and bounced a little on landing with 8 'chutes.
