At this point, I’m just assuming that for every death murder we hear about in an ICE death facility, there are thousands more we know nothing about due to their secrecy policies.
And if you’re someone who votes partisan, you have to ask yourself if it’s worth it at this point, because your choice is between perpetrators and collaborators.
This was already true for any detention center: immigration, criminal, war. You are responsible for all deaths and injuries of your prisoners, regardless of circumstances, even if a prisoner is suicidal, even if one prisoner hurts another. The fact that they are even trying to deflect blame is abhorrent, regardless of the accuracy.
