The two federal immigration agents who fired on Minneapolis protester Alex Pretti are identified in government records as Border Patrol agent Jesus Ochoa and Customs and Border Protection officer Raymundo Gutierrez.
The records viewed by ProPublica list Ochoa, 43, and Gutierrez, 35, as the shooters during the deadly encounter last weekend that left Pretti dead and ignited massive protests and calls for criminal investigations.
Both men were assigned to Operation Metro Surge, an immigration enforcement dragnet launched in December that sent scores of armed and masked agents across the city.
CBP, which employs both men, has so far refused to release their names and has disclosed few other facts about the deadly incident, which came days after a different immigration agent shot and killed another Minneapolis protester, a 37-year-old mother of three named Renee Good.

A quick read of wikipedia says ports of entry checking people and cargo, agriculture (pests, plants, animal disease), stopping weapons and narcotics smuggling, duties and taxes (import specialist, auditor, international trade specialist, and textile analyst). I’m sure there’s a shit ton of paperwork. These are not all front line SWAT people, but I’m sure Trump pushed many out. Even for front line they used to plan out raids afaik for like 5 am when the target is asleep, they weren’t out for what’s now stirring shit up and let’s call it crowd control.
My point being that there’s no role where they’re trained to shoot people in the head at point blank.
Not being trained for crowd control ≠ execute anyone that defies you
Yeah, but if you’re untrained, in a high pressure situation and someone yells “GUN” you might well panic.
If you’re untrained and you’ve stood in front of a car you might well panic when someone starts it moving, especially if you’ve done a similar idiotic thing with a car recently.
Law enforcement needs training in order to not fuck up situations. If they don’t have it, this is the inevitable consequence.
Look at the panic.
I don’t know what you’re trying to say.
