I’ve worked with a lot of physicians, and surgeons tend to have the biggest egos and display more psycho\sociopathic traits than other types of doctors, although the surgeons I’ve worked with have all been great people… Except for the one that did a case, didn’t write a post op note, then drove halfway across the country to kill his ex and her new boyfriend. The patient died during that time
That is sorta what I’m saying about surgeons. Most of them are decent people despite their mindset. A few though are not good people. I did IT for several doctors and in my experience they all have their little quirks. Its what allows them to do the job and a few break from it. Some don’t or can’t come back from it while others return and seem better than they had ever been previously. My current primary care Physician lost his license for a few years due to alcohol abuse. He is a lot calmer and approachable now.
