§ 14-309.8. Limit on sessions.
The number of sessions of bingo conducted or sponsored by an exempt organization shall be limited to two sessions per week and such sessions must not exceed a period of five hours each per session. No two sessions of bingo shall be held within a 48-hour period of time. No more than two sessions of bingo shall be operated or conducted in any one building, hall or structure during any one calendar week and if two sessions are held, they must be held by the same exempt organization. This section shall not apply to bingo games conducted at a fair or other exhibition conducted pursuant to Article 45 of Chapter 106 of the General Statutes. Usually these things have a precedent for why they are set.
Did a group play themselves to death?
Most likely to avoid permanent bingo halls, aka casinos that just have bingo.
Or the establishment put up a reward that they didnt actually wanna give out, so they endlessly extended the game somehow in the hopes that people would leave before the end.
That’s not how bingo works
Yeah i realized that its been very long since i played bingo. But they could just have made huuuge bingo cards no?
Nah, bingo, like pretty much all casino gambling, basically requires short games to maximize dopamine release. A 5+ game wouldn’t interest most gamblers
In fact, they often move way too fast, because if you don’t call bingo before they call the next number, you don’t win.
They make their money because people will play like 6+ cards at once.
Our work group does bingo once a month because they have a $1 card booklet thing.
I dont know for certain but there has to be a sharing the wealth reason for this. Perhaps a to make sure that all bingo parlors got continuous business.
