Loving all the replies here, very glad to see all the great advice! As an Edinburgh resident I tell every visitor: get out the city! So much more to Scotland :)
It almost doesn’t matter where, there is so much to see and do in every corner, and I have never yet been bored for a week visiting some corner of Scotland
