There’s a third stage that grabs you by the head and zaps your brain.

IIRC we see this in the Fifth Race, Lost City, and The Quest part 2.

Like a lot of things, it was created to be a bizarre alien device, but as the lore grew we had to see it used like a normal device, which makes us question why would the gate builders make such an awkward to use device.

If Daniel and Myrddin can use it like a desktop computer, why does it have a violent head grabbing setting?
